The Christian Taliban in the U.S. Army

80 to 100 soldiers were confined to their barracks because they refused to attend a Christian concert.

Freedom of religion, last time I checked, was one of the freedoms that soldiers retained. Bravo to the soldiers who stood up to the religious bullying of their commander.

I was aware that God-botherers in the military were abusing their position to proselytize, but I'd no idea their attempts at forced conversion were quite so organized & obvious.

Just do a google on what happened at the Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado - Mecca for evangelical Christains, and the home for Focus on the Family.

Mrc, I've done a couple of blog posts over the years about the Evangelical Christian Air Force Academy.

To me the loss of freedom of (and from) religion is more worrisome in the military than in public (the mosque in NY) because so much of it happens out of the public eye. Not to mention that public protest seems to be less effective when applied to things military - any protest has to go through the fucktards in the government, who seem to be largely unconscious about whatever the military does . . .
