Vivek Ramaswamy argues that Black Americans were better off in the 1960s during Jim Crow and calls affirmative action "a form of psychological slavery" that is a "cancer on our nation's soul" pic.twitter.com/0WdxFDZ9Vd

Ramaswamy was born in 1985. He is apparently ignorant of a lot of things. He probably thinks the Green Book was just a movie. He's never seen a "sundown town". He has no knowledge of Black people being beaten and lynched for trying to vote. He doesn't know shit about Bloody Sunday in Selma. He knows nothing about racial segregation in employment. "Redlining" is unknown to him. He doesn't know about Black people being denied service in restaurants. He doesn't understand that UBCUs came about because Blacks were denied admittance to colleges and universities.
He's either willfully blind to all that history, or he does know and he figures it's better for him if he plays the role of a white racist. Either way, he's about as despicable as they come.

I live in Ohio and am worried that in a corrupt, gerrymandered state with Republican control of every level of government, this man could be "elected" Governor even though everyone hates him. One of his planks is Ohio should lead the nation in data centers, in which he's heavily invested.
My daughter lives in Ohio (can't get her to move to the PNW) and hates his guts. She thinks what little is left of Ohio's social structure will go up in flames, if he is elected.
That boy don't look like he's from around here, probably not welcome ...
He probably eats household pets.
'Those people are browner than me so I am automatically superior. Also, my chauffeur keeps me away from those red neck areas and towns."
He would not have enjoyed living here during the 60s as he could have
been considered colored by the then standards.
