In what First World reality can it be that a kid gets condemned to living without a hand because it's not medically necessary? But that's just what happened to Remi Bateman and other kids, who have had to rely on the charity of others in order to have a working second hand.
Here's what should happen: Those who deny claims for an adaptive device should have to live for two months with that disability to get a taste of what that's like.
It's not just medical necessity, it's economic necessity. And not just for them, for society as a whole. The recipients are likely to be more productive. which is better for them, their families, and the rest of us.

Dems have been burying this issue for decades on behalf of their health insurance lobbyist buddies. The only time they ever whip themselves into fighting shape is to take down anyone who threatens for-profit healthcare.
Butbutbut....billionaires got get more billions, capital gets lonely by itself, profit growth has gotta be exponential or no bonuses, (boo-hiss) and then there's the evil pleasure of the Henry Potter things of crushing little people. All profit and payoff to the Boss; it's the American Way.
2 months…try 2 decades, at least.
Err I'm confused. The Dems created and pushed the ACA, it
was the Rethugs that made it a big mess and want to kill it.
Same for Medicare, Medicaid... So the Dems are hiding the
denials. There is some kind of fake info being promoted
here and re-aimed at that..
So the "Dems did it" qualifies as wild assertion.
Eck!
Citizens United granted human rights to corporations. Going back EB Misfit's original point - can you execute one or jail on?
