My father was born in 1914. He shaved with a straight razor and had serious kit: 7 razors, one for each day, canvas and leather sharpening strops, badger hair brush for his Barbasol (Just saw that at the supermarket, the Original, making a comeback). He said the ultimate test of a man's ability to shave with straight razor was doing it on a train. Here he is, smiling at you, at the wheel of his Type 40 Bugatti...
