I'm not sure, of course, but I'm reasonably confident that touching off several rounds from a .44 Magnum inside a closed room will deafen everyone there.

Yes it will. Been there, done that to people at an indoor range who failed to put on their hearing protectors despite being warned.

Fired my .223 once, from inside a truck with the window open. I will never do that again.

I would think too that after getting shot, even in the arm, with a .44 magnum, you wouldn't be getting up and running around like the last guy. It would take your arm off.
