Two people approached the security guard in the parking lot in the 5500 block of Lemmon Avenue just before 1 a.m., according to Dallas Police Department spokeswoman Lt. LaToya Porter.

Given the neighborhood, the guard was almost certainly not your first-timer who had never had a confrontation before...a clear lack of basic intelligence on the part of Perp One and Perp Two. In that area, it's a fair chance the "guard" was either an ex-officer or a moonlighting constable/deputy. Kinda rough at night off the main road, and since it's near the hospital, the business owner has an interest in capable guards to encourage customers to stop in when you have a 24-hour burger joint.
