A jury awarded $83.3 million in huge additional damages on Friday to longtime advice columnist E. Jean Carroll from former President Donald Trump, who she says shattered her reputation and opened her to threats by calling her a liar who only accused him of sexual assault to sell a memoir.
The award, when coupled with a $5 million sexual assault and defamation verdict last year from another jury in a case brought by Carroll, raised to $88.3 million what Trump must pay her. Protesting vigorously, he said he would appeal.

Jurors deliberated less than three hours after the two-week trial.
Good luck with that appeal, bucko. When a jury is out for only a few hours, the clear signal is that it's not even a close question. His acting up in court likely cemented the case for Carroll. And his lawyers acting the ass in the courtroom probably didn't help matters any. Which will be repaid when the TOFF stiffs them on their bills.

And now all the right leaning commentators will lament how poor old Donald got railroaded by the courts. How the court system is rigged against him. How unfair it was and how ridiculous the fine is. How, if 'they' can do this to Donny, 'they' can certainly do it to you.
The T**** lovers seem to forget that it was already established that he sexually assaulted Ms. Carroll.
The claim that the 83.3 million judgement is excessive may be correct. However, it is probably a result of his over valuing of his properties and net worth. A bit karmic that one court case where he claims excessive wealth results in another case where he has to pay a huge amount. Dumbass can't keep his mouth shut.

Doesn't matter if he doesn't win on appeal. Appeals take time, lots of time. and with the Georgia case heading for dismissal, and the Supreme's still trying to figure out how to hand him a victory I'd say the tide is turning pretty much in his favor. Cannon's got a few more tricks up her sleeve no matter what the Lutig's and Tribe's of the world say. If it was anyone but Trump he could take his foot off the gas. But as everyone knows, when you head down the exit ramp you step on the gas.The only thing that might save us is Trump stroking out on stage.
Dale, punitive totals less than twice the total other amounts, anything less than five time is generally not considered excessive.
The TOFF is a big baby. He has never had to face consequences for anything in his life. His dad's money, then his money, has bought his way out of every difficulty.

W3ski, it was determined that T**** sexually assaulted Ms Carroll. Sexual assault is not always rape. It could have been his patented move, grab her by the p***y. Or groping or fondling her against her will. Regardless, why doesn’t he have to register as a sex offender? Can you just imagine the pearl clutching by all the evangelicals when it is pointed out that they are supporting a sexual offender for president?

It was on all day and all night coverage on MSNBC Friday when I stopped by occasionally to see if any other news was being reported.
The reason he is not a sex registrant is, the court he was
convicted in was Civil not criminal. That's how he gets away
by the skin of his ass or bank accounts. TOFF may have lost
there but it does not involve jail time or a criminal finding.
As to money he's been goading his maggots to pay his freight.
So the bank of rethugs are his.
