Here are a few helpful hints:
- Remember, it's a fucking comic book. It's not a depiction of real people.
- You don't have to buy the fucking thing. Nobody is holding a Tokarev to your head and making you buy, let alone read it.
- If the comic book upsets you, get a life. Go for a hike. Find a job. Volunteer. Or seek professional help.

But it is real life.
I was maybe ten when, in the way of little brothers, I poked around in my 4 years older brother's stuff and found a beefcake magazine. I knew from heterosexuality but on that day I learned that the dice don't always roll that way. My eyes went wide, but I kept my mouth shut and put everything back. Maybe ten years later, he made a big deal of coming out to me....I looked at him quizzically and lovingly, said, But I've always known.
Fast forward to my adult life, I had a stepchild who came out gay and then trans...and I gave support as best I could. What's important is love.
