OK, so he's a sexting doouchebag.
Consider that he'd be replacing a megalomaniac[1] who not only rammed through a removal of term limits[2] so he could be the mayor for a third term, but who is the living, breathing, walking personification of the Nanny State.[3] Or, if you will, his private police state.[4]
Compared to the pseudo-fascism of Michael Bloomberg, a mayor who likes to "sext" his female acquaintances would be a vast improvement.

[2] Never mind that those limits were enacted by two public referenda. Fuhrer Bloomie wanted another term and another term he got.
[3] No trans fat in foods, big gulps and if you want to buy a cig, it's like asking for hard-core porn.
[4] Bloomberg thinks that the current NYPD policy of frisking people on suspicion of "walking while non-white" is just great.

That's how bad things have gotten: a sexual perversion looks relatively benign.
It's looking like he's not going to be the Democratic candidate though. After all the sexting stuff the female councilwoman that he's running against in the Democratic primary, Christine Quinn, has pulled out to a fairly commanding lead. Too bad. Mayor Weiner, good and hard, is what New York City deserves for electing Mayor Bloomberg not once, not twice, but thrice.
