Try eight years. That is how long it took for Robert Johnson, who was an NYPD undercover officer and then served in Customs and the ATF to get his name removed from the list. He was a cop for 33 years.
Seems that the fuckers at DBP had no way to correlate birth dates, so because there was a Bob Johnson who was suspected of being a terrorist, every Bob Johnson on the planet was barred from flying by the no-fly list.[1] Eight years it takes those douchenozzles at DBP and the TSA to figure out a way to check birth dates to help eliminate false positives.
I can't even label this "Soviet Amerika", for I suspect that the former KGB was better at their jobs than the DBP. DBP and the TSA are more fucked up than Franz Kafka International Airport.
