We will never get to hear literally hundreds of radials and Rolls Royces passing overhead, gone since 1945 and unnecessary nowadays. Hard to imagine the noise of that much horsepower. It can't be reproduced by recordings. Like the sound of a movieland hand grenade compared to throwing a real one, hitting the dirt, and feeling that blast wave thump in your chest. Not even close.
