Even more impressive from the ground.
I had the opportunity once to watch a smaller fire plane in a very narrow and steep canyon. The fire was just below a steep ridge and the pilot had to pull almost straight up after dumping his load. Very impressive from as close as I was.

Looks like TKR911, flies just S of my house enroute to and from KMCC to the fires in Norcal this time of year. I just checked Flightaware and it's now on its way to Pocatello, ID from KSLC. Impressive. Looks about as safe as crop dusting.
That is one busy cockpit. Plus trying to find the lead plane (usually a King or Queen Aire) to get the route. Nice and professional operation.
