A good back to back with this is "Hidden figures", about
the story of the people, women white and of color, that
didn't fly or do dangerous stuff who did the thousands
of mathematical derivations and calculations that made
it possible.

Generally the space program took a lot of skilled
people with an extreme range of talents all coming
together.
