Shep's probably stepping over the line. He'll likely keep his job, because he's like the one black friend a racist keeps so he won't look racist.

A more suspicious mind might think he's there to suck reasonable minds into the Fox trap, for later squishing and staining and corrupting.

I don't think that would work, for Fox and the rest of the Murdoch empire owns the GOP whole. Almost everything they ever say or do is in service to gaining and keeping political power for the benefit of Murdoch.

In nations where there is no opposition party, like China, the Murdoch empire sucks up to the controlling party.
