In Massachusetts, it was supposed to be 18 inches. I can't count them here, because the wind has been ferocious. Some of the worst I've ever seen.
Probably 6", though. Probably not twice that. Part of the driveway had a foot, part was bare. There are large drifts here and there in the yard.
While shoveling, I had to stop and stare at the trees. The roaring of the wind through them was something I'd never heard before.
Comrade don't you wish you had done what Gov. Fat & Stupid of NJ did? When told of the approaching storm he jumped on the next plane to Disney World and let someone else deal with it. Shades of "Bahama John" Lindsay.
