The Dupes of the Iranian Government

Those would be: Donald Rumsfeld and Richard Cheney, among others.

The Iranian government apparently fed false intelligence to the Bush administration to prod them into starting a war with Iraq. The tell here is that when DoD counterintelligence investigators began looking into this, Rumsfeld's deputy, Stephen Cambone, had the investigation halted.
