As US and Israeli airstrikes intensify across Iran, attention is turning to the country’s Kurdish west where Kurdish factions could mobilise quickly if the weakening of the regime's security apparatus opens the door to a ground offensive.
It wouldn't be the first time that the U.S. has used the Kurds to provide localized muscle during a conflict, only to buttfuck them at the end of the fight.
Besides that, the Turks are not going to tolerate an independent Kurdish state in the region. Over the years, they've been really clear about that and they have been willing to back up their druthers with military might.
