Sadly, I think that will be the last time we see that big a formation... The qualified pilots are dying, and the kids coming up cannot afford to maintain the birds OR pay for the training to be certified to fly them. It has literally become a rich man's game.

35 years ago, at Sn'F, I asked a Mustang owner what it cost a year to have one. He said that between the hangar, insurance and maintenance, it was $100K/yr.

I can't imagine what it is now.
