Following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk this week, educators across the country have found themselves facing swift termination or potential discipline after allegedly sharing opinions on social media about the killing.
At least a dozen faculty and staff, from school board officials to classroom teachers, have been met with fallout over insensitive posts about Kirk’s death. In at least two instances, universities fired staff members entirely for posts deemed inappropriate.
Can't say bad things about a mouthy and dead clown who advocated for lynching and stoning people. And the "bad things" that people are being chastised for saying can be just reporting what the decedent had said inpublic. "He was respectful to those he disagreed with"-- in a pig's eye.
And this:
A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class. This is Kirk's legacy. You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

Also funny how fast the Overly Made-Up Dementia Case went from demanding that leftists be killed to rambling about his new gilded ballroom.

Professor Watchlist, A list of prof the kirk lists those he didn't agree with .
Its now being used to suppress free speech. What a great thing... NOT!
Eck!
The lie of it all, as they, the right lie and scream in the right woke words.
Call hypocrisy, really. The real problem is if the gloves come off.
And the sockpuppets come out.
Like the boy said, prove me wrong.
Eck!
"Freedom of speech" is not "Freedom from Consequences" of that speech.
No one has been jailed for saying anything...which would be illegal and unconstitutional.
If you (and your commenters) cannot understand the difference then you are not as smart as you think you are.
Perhaps you do not understand the Constitution and what Freedom of Speech means as much as you claim.
Meanwhile, Brian the fuck Kilmeade called for the execution of the homeless, and he still has his job, last I checked.

During the Great Depression people would save up to get a couple of quarters to go see a movie.
When the Second Trump Recession takes hold maybe the right wing projectionists can find more employment than just in a comment section. But it will be more than just a few quarters to see the movie.
Meanwhile, there's this from inside the federal gummint:

B is yours to deal with as you see fit. Let me toss this one into the hopper from parent's generation:
The FRONTLINE documentary Germany’s Neo-Nazis & the Far Right tracks the recent growth of far-right violence in the country, investigating how neo-Nazi groups are using internet platforms to recruit and to organize. To address this resurgence, German authorities look to a system of hate speech laws passed by the Bundestag, Germany’s federal legislature, over the 76 years since Adolf Hitler was defeated and that are still evolving today.
The German penal code prohibits publicly denying the Holocaust and disseminating Nazi propaganda, both off- and online. This includes sharing images such as swastikas, wearing an SS uniform and making statements in support of Hitler.
It also places strict rules on how social media companies must moderate and report hate speech and threats. These hate-speech laws were tightened last year, after three far-right terror attacks in 2019 and early 2020 prompted German authorities to warn of increasing extremism.
“The waves of hatred are even more aggressive than before the pandemic,” said Christine Lambrecht, Germany’s minister of justice, in an April 2021 statement about the new regulations. “The agitation is very often right-wing extremist, racist and misogynist. It is a serious threat to our democratic society when people are attacked because of their name or their appearance — or are silenced because they express themselves politically, scientifically or socially.”

Not only are some flying flags at half mast to honor this hate monger but 30 miles north of Detroit last evening i seen a LED type billboard Orion-Oxford area. with Charlie Kirk s picture and Rest In Peace on it like he was a fallen hero. The same area where there was a mass school shooting a few years ago. Kirk advocated that a few gun shot casualties was okay to protect gun rights. Looks like he was one of those casualties.
Right wingers are either getting more cultish every day or it's always been there but lying low. Just like their fascist tendencies.
Remember when Elmo said that he would take care of the legal expenses for anyone having employment problems due to anything they posted or liked on his platform? I guess those payments will arrive when I finally get my check from Soros for writing left leaning things online...
