Stupidity has its consequences.
In one aspect, it's hard to understand the fervent reluctance of conservatives to be vaccinated. Accelerated research and approval of Covid vaccines was a top priority of the Administration of the Bunker Inspector, so one would think that his supporteres would want to honor the Racist Blimp by getting vaccinated.
But no. Because the Orange Turdlet was too vain to be vaccinated on camera, his supporters aren't willing to get their shots. Because Putin's Idiot wouldn't wear a mask because it would mess up his makeup, his supporters think it's a virtue to get sick and spread infectious diseases.
The Tennessee Department of Health will halt all adolescent vaccine outreach – not just for coronavirus, but all diseases – amid pressure from Republican state lawmakers, according to an internal report and agency emails obtained by the Tennessean. If the health department must issue any information about vaccines, staff are instructed to strip the agency logo off the documents.
Measles, mumps, rubella, polio, smallpox, whooping cough, hepatitis, diptheria, tetanus, getting any and all of those seems to be a Republican virtue. For Republicans, it's a great thing, apparently, if their children die from preventable diseases.
The GOP has become a death cult, a cult of aggressive stupidity.

Here's Ran Prieur's take. He's pretty sure covid was lab modified and he's not necessarily against death, per se, as a personal choice.
"So you've got two things you can put in your body. Both of them make you somewhat immune to Covid-19, and both of them were made in labs. The death toll of one of those things is a million times higher. Imagine if it was the other way around -- the right choice would be obvious to everyone.
My best guess is, Covid anti-vaxxers have the same psychological motivation as teenagers who smoke cigarettes, or motorcyclists who don't wear helmets. They're displaying their lack of faith in a system that tells them what's good for them, and they're also displaying a personal identity of being a danger-courting bad-ass."
Wakefield and Macarthy and a bunch of lesser knowns managed to plant doubt in the general population on a large enough scale that even people that know better have doubts.
I had a fully vaccinated person tell me today that she didn't think we should vaccinate kids because we don't know the long term effects .
I told her I was glad my mother didn't think that when she had me vaccinated against polio .
If they're willing to acknowledge the limitations of their choice and wear the necessary ppe I can respect that .Otherwise I want them to carry a sign so I can avoid them .
The anti vaccine crowd seems suicidal from any rational point of view. And even people 'smart enough' to be doctors and nurses are sometimes 'stupid enough' to be fooled. Remember that time in the army when we all died from the many many inoculations? Yea, me neither, because it never happened. I agree with Ran that if you want an astronomically higher chance of death and disability then refuse the US vaccine and go with the Chinese communist military biological warfare virus. Your choice.
But unless you live like bubble boy or self exile to some death loving state like Florida don't expect us non death cultists normals to love you or sympathize. Your macho death craving revolts us. Go die alone motherfucker so the rest of us can live longer. Putin is still getting good value for his money in US death and division. Money well spent.
Your article called these antivaxers conservatives. I think a more proper term to describe them would be the gullibles.
Teke, teke mene upharsin. Thou has been weighed in the measure and found short.
It's a bit dated now, but it basically says that stupid people are everywhere and are dangerous. Enjoy the new Eleanor Rigby...

I'm not advocating against the shot. But do you think the videos or PJB an VPKH stating that they wouldn't get the shot could have something to do with it also?
