Rahm Emanuel, the former chief of staff to President Barack Obama, won the Chicago mayoral election over five other challengers Tuesday, topping the 50% threshold to avoid a runoff vote, CNN projects. One can only hope that he will be a little it less autocratic than Richard "I iz Da Law" Daley, who bulldozed Meigs Field in defiance of federal law. So in that regard, Daley was in synch with the Confederates and the Teabaggers.
With almost 75% of the vote counted, Emanuel had almost 55% of the vote, far outdistancing his rivals.

Rahm? Less autocratic than the Daleys? Pull the other flipper! If Rahm had a middle finger, he'd lift it to ya for that one :).
