Consorting With the Enemy

Hillary Clinton has agreed to a debate hosted by Fox News.

Somebody in the Clinton campaign needs to get a fucking clue, here. Fox News is not a news operation. Fox News is little more than the propaganda arm of the drooling animated corpse that is the conservative movement.

They hired Karl Rove as an analyst, a man who is a proven liar and a "nothing is off limits" political strategist for the fascist arm of the GOP.

They have never pretended to be anything other than propagandists and cheerleaders for Bush's wars.

When the Republicans settle on their candidate, even if it is John McCain, Fox News will dutifully fall in behind, and they will gleefully propagate every bit of sleazy innuendo the Republicans try to throw around at the Democratic nominee. There is nothing "fair and balanced" about Fox News. Clinton, by agreeing to appear on Fox News, is doing nothing but giving aid and comfort to the very same people who will eagerly engage in character assassination against her should she be the one.

Clinton should have told Fox News to fuck off. They are not going to be magically transformed into her friends if she graces them with her presence.

Actually, I can't think of any MSM news that is completely objective; the reporters and talking heads all have their particular axes to grind.

I submit there is a fair amount of difference between not being "completely objective" and an entire news operation that sees itself as an ally of one political party. I know people who still think that the Baboon King is doing a good job and they are all regular viewers of Fox News.

Both parties have their allies in the MSM, which is why I usually try to find more than one source on news.
