The Republican National Committee is cutting its minority outreach program after a takeover by Trump loyalists who plan to steer as much money as possible to support the former president’s campaign, The Daily Beast’s Roger Sollenberger reports.

The RNC has decided to scrap an effort launched in 2022 to engage voters in heavy minority populations, particularly in Latino communities. One source told The Daily Beast the tagline might as well be “Make the RNC White Again.”

You can bet the TOFF's last kopeck that outreach activists working for Biden will make a lot of hay over this. But it's consistent with the Trump Party's long-standing efforts to make it harder for minorities to vote, as abetted by Johnny Roberts and the Supremes.

Just one more indication that the GOP is becoming a white supremacist/Christianist party. The god that they claim to worship likely would be appalled. The orange one that they, in fact, pledge fealty to approves.

A former Boeing manager who raised safety questions about the aircraft maker has been found dead outside a hotel in South Carolina, according to local authorities.

The body of John Barnett, 62, was found Saturday in a car outside a Holiday Inn, suffering from what the Charleston County Coroner’s Office said appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Louisiana resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sounds as about legit a suicide since Salvadore Allende shot himself in the back twenty times from thirty feet away, pausing only once to reload.

GM may be the worst of the car makers. They've been collecting information through OnStar on how people drive and "sharing" (ie, selling) that data to LexisNexis. LexisNexis then sells that data, with personal identifiers, to insurance companies. GM conns drivers into signing up to some Orwellian app called "Smart Driver" and they don't disclose that GM's going to sell the data. Hell, the new owners often aren't told, because the salesvermin get more money for sneakily signing people up for it.

GM may be the most egregious, but Ford, Honda, Subaru and Hyundai are also doing this shit.

Standard Time is better for our health. Like or not, we are animals and we have internal clocks that are aligned with the Sun (and Standard Time).

Economic interests would prefer permanent Daylight Savings Time, but that should be no surprise. They're more than willing to damage everyone else's health if they can make a buck out of it.
