President Donald Trump was somberly contemplative and unusually conciliatory after confronting what he saw as a third attempt on his life in less than two years. He suggested that his personal politics had made him a repeated target, but he also called for unity and bipartisan healing in an increasingly violent world.
He's the president, he's supposedly the leader of the country, he can go first. He can try to establish a new tone of discourse in this country. But he never will.
One thing is certain: You won't make a dime on Polymarket betting that he'll do it. He calls reporters who ask him uncomfortable questions nasty names (especially if they're women), he mocks the disabled, and he is continually racist to non-white people. He has repeatedly said that non-white politicians who oppose him are "low IQ". He calls the free press "the enemy of the people", he's called Democrats "traitors". And yes, he regards those who serve our nation "suckers" and "losers".
Trump's a distasteful, racist, misogynistic, hateful narcissist and he's just a thoroughly mean person. He has been so for nearly 80 years. The only likely cure for his personality is embalming fluid.
He's not going to change. Anyone who thinks that he will is not living in an evidence-based world.

It lasted until he sat down for an interview with Nora O’Donnell for 60 Minutes and called her a horrible person.
He’ll never change his ways.
After the incident at WHCD, there was speculation that it was a conspiracy to expedite the ballroom construction. I don’t think that was the case at all. But I do find interesting that Vance was yanked up by the collar and forcefully removed several seconds prior to the president’s removal.

There may or may not been a conspiracy but they are sure milking it just like George W Bush did after 9/11 to justify his agenda.
