Hegseth ordered the murder of survivors of a wrecked "drug boat" and those orders were carried out by SOC Adm. Bradley. It was a criminal and murderous act in violation of the law.
Eighty years ago (11/30/45), three German submariners were shot by firing squad for machinegunning the survivors of the SS Peleus. It's highly unlikely that Hegseth or Bradley will be staring down the muzzles of a squad of riflemen. But the precedent exists, and the law, both international and American, are clear:
It was murder most foul.
ETA: An excerpt from the DoD Law of War:
Hegseth's and Bradley's orders were clearly illegal.

Hegseth and Bradley are about to be cut loose and sacrificed. It will, in all likelihood, significantly focus flag officers with regard to orders and legality…the Mango Mussolini will not be touched thanks to the SCOTUS.
There are articles written before his appointment that Hegseth defended those that committed war crimes. All he has done is get into a position where his boss considers human lives not worth much. Trump didn't invent people like that but he has made it acceptable for them to crawl out from under their rock.
I was not surprised in the slightest to see that Admiral Bradley is a SEAL. There's a lot of rot in that house ever since the GWOT.
The 1863 Lieber Code—the famous U.S. government rules governing military conduct during the Civil War—provides: “Whoever intentionally inflicts additional wounds on an enemy already wholly disabled, or kills such an enemy, or who orders or encourages soldiers to do so, shall suffer death, if duly convicted, whether he belongs to the Army of the United States, or is an enemy captured after having committed his misdeed.”
Seems pretty clear that what happened is in direct violation. Heads should roll.

The world draws breath....and then turns blue....I hope not. So much justice has been delayed and denied.
You can download the Lieber Code here.
Trump ordering a re-write of that part of the manual in 3...2...
killing the injured was an unnecessary action. The usual for all naval
actions is to rescue survivors and secure them. Killing them was an
illegal act.
Eck!
We don't have a Hunter Thompson anymore
He predicts that the Democrats will self-destruct in the 1988 presidential campaign. He also makes bets about the Democratic Party candidates odds of winning their elections. People he dislikes are described as "money-sucking animals," "brainless freaks," "geeks," "greed-crazed lunatics" and so on. Thompson also quotes from the Bible's Book of Revelation in many instances.
As much as I like Taibbi, he will never fill those shoes

For the record, I have a bid in at Hypermind for this clown going down
Hegseth even earned his own theme song, set to the tune of Kenny Loggins’s “Danger Zone,” repeatedly branding him a “f***ing d****e.”
So it apparently takes the commission of war crimes to get people to not focus on the Epstein files.
The old ploy of "Wag the Dog".
