They printed an editorial carping about Trump's politicization of the FBI. (Free to read).
Trump didn't hide any of this. He made it clear all along that he was going to use the might of the Federal government, including the FBI and the DoJ, to persecute and exact retribution on his political enemies, real or imaginary. But all they could carp about during the election was "zOMG!!1! Biden's old!!!1!". And they were so, so mad that he wouldn't talk to them.
Anyone with a quarter of a working prefrontal cortex could have seen this coming. Rosemary Kennedy could have seen this coming. But not the NYT, they were willfully blind. The paper's management and owners are prime example of the saying that the only difference between an elitist and a white supremacist is money. They were fine with Trump's grifting and passing tax custs and everything else as long as it didn't imact them. But now they're seeing their gardeners and maids and contractos being hauled away and they're now into hand-wring about that Trump is doing and they are so worried.
Well, fuck them. Fuck them up their asses with the Pulitzer Prizes in their display case. Do that daily and until the Universe ends.

I don't subscribe or read the NYT and haven't for a couple of decades. It's a schizophrenic rag that has terrible leadership and couldn't navigate a gutter — but somehow still manages to lecture the world from the bottom of it.
I had a digital subscription for a while in order to read Paul Krugman's newsletter after they put it behind the paywall. They charged $4 a month for the first year and then raised it twice so it was $20/month when I cancelled.
They keep claiming that they are only reporting facts and not partisan bias, but to report on a fascist takeover like it was a normal campaign is the worst kind of partisan bias.
After Dr. K quit, I had no reason to ever give them another penny, and I can't imagine the situation in which I would do so.
Which is really a damn shame, because among the right wing hacks they have on staff are some real, honest to god journalists, and those are getting harder to find each day, and need to be supported if we want them to still be around.
