I get C-130 low altitude flyovers of my house about once a week. Always in pairs, headed due east in the morning and west later in the day, and usually at about 1500 feet which is pretty cool. I try to run out onto the deck if I hear them coming. Then about once a year they do the terrain following thing at maybe 500 feet, which I think is freakin' AWESOME! Some folks in town complain but I don't know why. It isn't that loud and it only lasts a few seconds and because `MURICA!!

You can tell who is a senior pilot vs. the nuggets just from watching the entries... I wonder where the Combat Talons were out of???

Probably 206 Squadron, out of RAF Brize Norton. If you look closely, both planes have low-viz RAF roundels on the fuselage, but only the second has the Combat Talon characteristic bulges on the rear fuselage. I believe all RAF C-130J’s have the refueling probes.
