Your Sunday Morning Turboprop Noise

A Kiwi P-3:

Some annoying airshow narration, but the airplane drowns him out from time to time.

Sigh... brings back memories. We did a few of those over the years. First pass 180 kts, second pass 120 kts, last pass 350+ kts. Sadly, they didn't do 3 or 2 engine demonstrations! I have over 7000 hours on them!

An instant success, the P-3 used the unlucky Lockheed Electra's wings, tail and engines to get in service in an incredibly short time frame. 1st flown March, 1961 and in squadron service soon after. International sales were heavy after the US Navy had plenty, over 750 having been built in total. Upgraded frequently, it looks like a 1961 plane but still performs its job worldwide. Last propeller warplane in US service, to be replaced by the Boeing P-8 by the US Navy.
Pima air museum has one.
