It is remarkable how, well, uncontroversial this bill appears to have been. One wonders why it took so long, if no one really opposed it.
Thanks for posting this. I think that when someone like Koch does good, they need to be encouraged to do so again. And of course, the opposite also applies. If someone does wrong, they must be held up to the light for closer scrutiny. Every tiny bit helps, even just a simple post like this one.

It almost didn't happen. McConnell, for reasons known only to his blasted, withered soul, was blocking the bill from coming to a vote. Kushner got his father-in-law to lean on Mitch and he relented.
Perhaps Jared saw the prison system through his father's experience. Granted Sr. didn't suffer like those in regular prisons, but at least he did this right if that can be said for little else he has touched. Mike R
I agree. Anyone with as much power and influence as the Koch brothers should hear approval whenever they do something good with that power and influence.
That doesn't change how I feel about them for buying Georgia Pacific and fucking up the place I was born and raised, though.
