It’s a pretty sophisticated little scheme. They can claim they are simply rationalizing the privileges to match that of U.S. diplomats and officials with overseas duties and postings. The sting is that about 10% of countries currently recognize same-sex marriage in some manner. A portion of the rest will recognize domestic partners, but this move excludes those partners. They can trumpet “family values” to their base by recognizing marriages, and knife the libs by screwing the domestic partners. This seems way over Donnie’s depth, a lot more likely credit goes to Pence and crew.

I'm sure you're correct, but I suspect he'd also have one non-negotiable condition, that he would get to be her first "customer." On the house, of course...
