Boeing-707
October 26th marked the sixtieth anniversary of the 707's first revenue fight by Pan Am: Idlewild to Le Bourget. Ten months later, the 707-320s began flying, which didn't normally require a fuel stop at Gander or Shannon.

Only flew the 707 once, transatlantic from Preswick to Dullas. It was a nasty, cramped flight after my previous experience had been a company paid First Class seat on a 747. In hindsight, it was much better than today’s conditions, but I still avoid single-aisle aircraft for anything over 4 hours.
