McCain broke in to say the Senate majority leader was already facing similar threats as the Clintons and Obamas — and so are “The View” panelists. Not even hardly, Meghan. You get an F on your test of Both-siderism.
“He’s getting harassed and heckled when he goes out in public to have dinner with his wife,” she said. “So are we.”

Megan McCain Sets a New High-Water Mark for Stupid; Pipe Bombing Ed.
After some lunatic(s) sent pipe bombs to CNN, President Obama, Secretary Clinton and apparently put one in George Soro's mailbox, Meghan McCain sad that was equivalent to yelling at Republicans:

If they were really bombs. Which is in doubt.
Lots of things that don't make sense.
Have you seen 'em? Meant to be recognized. Look like bombs from a movie.... Timers for bombs that are delivered, rather than some other method of setting 'em off?
I don't know, but I think that it would be easy to make something that actually worked and would be more than good photo material.
Have to wait and see what the bomb folks tell us. If they do tell us.
Please don’t even think that Trump hasn’t incited the divide since his election. Your blog claimed that the left has reason to fear the right if they don’t have “civility”. Is the the kind of civility the right believes in? Seems more like they’d rather have anarchy.

B., I invite you to run into a school with a fake gun and threaten to murder everyone. Once everyone realizes it's just a fake gun, you can all have a grand laugh!
(The bombs don't have to work, or even be bombs to be terrorist weapons.)
N: "The bombs don't have to work, or even be bombs to be terrorist weapons.)" True. Your point about a "Fake Gun" is well taken.
But these look like they were made to be easily "recognized" as "bombs". PVC instead of iron pipe...no pressure buildup. Which makes one wonder the motivation...Terror? Or media? Part of the "message" that the media delivers every day to "shape opinion"? Something to give the Media something to talk about as a tool to influence people....maybe the election. Or, it could simply be inept (or not, as you point out) people sending them as a Message.
As to the source of them, we simply don't have enough information. Could be some Right Wing nutjob. Or it is as likely to be false flag. Either is as likely as the other.
We simply don't know. And won't unless the FBI/ATF chooses to tell us.
"False flag", no. Not without proof of that.
PVC makes sense, though, for that keeps the bomb packages under the 13oz weight limit for self-mailed stamped packages that the USPS imposed after they arrested the Unabomber.
(Yes, they let that guy mail out pipe bombs unmolested for 18 years and only put in place protective measures after he had been caught.)
So if one side says it’s a false flag operation to send bombs to generate hatred towards republicans, can the other side say the scare-avan (credit to the Late Show with Steven Colbert) is a false flag operation to generate disdain towards democrats? Only seems fair.

“As to the source of them, we simply don't have enough information.”
Accurate and succinct, shoulda stopped there.
“Could be some Right Wing nutjob.”
Unduely speculative in light of the above sentence and undermines your point.
“Or it is as likely to be false flag. Either is as likely as the other.”
No, it isn’t “equally” likely. This fetish for calling everything that might adversely impact “your side” or “your beliefs” a fake is part of the malaise that is consuming America. The demonization of the other side, the “false flag” bullshit, the politicization of the judiciary, and so forth are simply visible signs of the cracks in American Society. As long as the Republican Party is hellbent upon controlling political power in America. With actions such as the outright theft of a Supreme Court sweat, gerrymandering, voter suppression and racist appeals, this sickness will grow and threaten America. The open question is if the demographics will beat this before the whole rotten structure collapses. Now, go right ahead and parrot all those talking points about us ”Liberals” destroying ‘Merica.
The fact that we are having to read about possible "false flag" operations is directly attributable to our president being an Alex Jones fan.

On to the facts, and why that tends to suggest not a false flag...but we must still wait:
“An analysis of the Global Terrorism Database by researchers at the University of Maryland published in 2017 shows a “sharp increase” in the share of attacks by right-wing extremists, from 6% in the 2000s to 35% in the 2010s. The share of attacks by religious extremists also increased, from 9% to 53% between the two decades.
Meanwhile, the share of attacks by left-wing terrorists and environmentalist extremists dropped from 64% in the 2000s to 12% in the 2010s.
Researchers point out that many recent attacks on U.S. soil are carried out by individuals without any strong links to a terrorist organization—known popularly as “lone wolves.”
The study defines “right-wing extremism” as “violence in support of the belief that personal and/or national way of life is under attack and is either already lost or that the threat is imminent,” including anti-globalism, white supremacy, nationalism, suspicion of the government, and beliefs in conspiracies.
An analysis by Quartz of the same Global Terrorism Database confirmed that the trend persisted in 2017, when most attacks in the U.S. were committed by right-wing extremists. Out of 65 incidents last year, 37 were tied to racist, anti-Muslim, homophobic, anti-Semitic, fascist, anti-government, or xenophobic motivations.
That list includes an attack by neo-Nazi extremist James Fields against a crowd of counter-protestors in Charlottesville, which left one person dead. It also includes attacks against a gay bar in Puerto Rico, mosques in Washington, Texas, and Florida, and a vehicle decorated with Jewish iconography in New York.
In the same period, seven attacks were linked to Islamic extremists, and 11 attacks were inspired by left-leaning ideologies.
That right-wing activity is fueling a surge in terrorism in the U.S. Overall, the U.S. had only six attacks a decade ago, but 65 in 2017. The number of fatalities is also increasing, in contrast to a global decrease in terror attacks.“
