I remember hearing those all through my childhood. My dad worked on the guidance systems, and eventually after he retired from the USAF got a job turning them into drones.
the neatest memory about that aircraft though was when I was five-and the squadron my dad was in flew 'Santa' in to give out gifts to the kids in the squadron, and he rode in the back seat of a 106B. Somewhere in my dad's house there is a photo of me and my then three year old sister posing with Santa by the boarding ladder.

Worked on F102's and F106's in 1965 - 1966. Got back seat ride in F106. Thrilling. Still gives me good bumps just thinking about it.
