Juan Browne is hella cool. He's a commercial pilot who previously flew for the Air Force, and has taken up journalism with his Blancolirio YouTube channel. His video reporting of the Oroville dam spillway reconstruction is the most detailed and level-headed reporting around, and includes lots of video shot in flyovers in his "Mighty Luscombe" that include details about how airplanes are actually flown.
He's kinda conservative, but refreshingly sane, and I've been a fan of his for about a year.
Oh, and he also does reporting for his home-town newspaper, and shows lots of patience with reporters from mainstream outlets on conference calls with the DWR.
