I did not realize how much boost those engines required.
Probably nothing compared to the "featherweight" B-36s. They almost got up to U-2 altitudes.
After all these years, I still can't say "Featherweight B-36" without snickering...
One item leaped out: "The tail gunner stays near the putt-putt during takeoff". Can you say "Kee Bird"?
