A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

Got buzzed once by a pair of ospreys. Sounded like a C-130 Herc.
This turkey reminds me of the CSS Hunley. Wonder how many gyrene squads it's wasted so far.
Quite a few Tod. There's no better example of a whole bunch of odd parts that shouldn't be together all trying to come apart. It qualifies as VTL.
But... I'm old school, Hueys 'n skycranes and shithooks.
According to Wikipedia, the Osprey has killed about 3 squads. Two of the squads were in the previous millennium. One squad worth since 2000.
"The V-22 Osprey had 10 hull loss accidents that resulted in a total of 42 fatalities. During testing from 1991 to 2000 there were four crashes resulting in 30 fatalities. Since becoming operational in 2007, the V-22 has had six crashes including two combat-zone crashes, and several other accidents and incidents that resulted in twelve fatalities."

Yeah and the corp's Class A accident rate is very poor even compared to the navy, with a rate of 2.63 in 2016 compared to the Navy’s 1.27. McCain has decried this cascade of maintenance, training, fatigue and organizationally related crashes.
