same here,even when i was active duty i didn't like the hero worship. Just because I joined the Army doesn't make me better than anyone else. I'm Just a guy-let the people with kids and elderly go first-they NEED the extra time.

It is an overreaction to what people saw when the Vietnam vets returned , plus a bot left over from the first Gulf War when all (or a significant number) of the Liberals still tried to denigrate and marginalize the military personnel returning.
