Character Matters, (But IOKIYAR)

Flip things and imagine what the Republicans, the Far Right and the Christian Taliban would be saying if the Democrats were running a candidate with 34 felony convictions, who tried to incite a rebellion and who was found of culpability for sexual assault.

Just imagine the outrage, the self-righteous vitriol. You don't have to go far, look up what they said about Bill Clinton, who didn't do two or three magnitudes of what Trump did. Hell, look at Al Franken, who was turfed out of the Senate for, in comparison to Trump, the henious crime of spitting on the sidewalk.

Character matters to Republicans, but only if the person in question is not a Republican. If the person is a Republican, then even serial murder would be OK.

Thing is, he is ^accused* of inciting a rebellion by.....leftists. The "Convictions" were Lawfare, plain and simple. No one with two working neurons (not even you with your TDS) could ever believe that any of them are legit. Lets face it, they had to change the rules of law to make anything stick.

The Far Right wouldn't have ginned up such charges, so it's never gonna happen.

When you have illegitimate charges in an illegitimate court officiated by a partisan and biased judge who doesn't even hide his bias, then no one cares what the judge or the court says. (See also: Kangaroo).
Character matters, but so does legitimacy and reality. Not so for Leftists.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday didn’t condemn white supremacist groups and their role in violence in some American cities this summer, branding it solely a “left-wing” problem and telling one far-right extremist group to “stand back and stand by.”

“Almost everything I see is from the left wing, not from the right wing,” said Trump, whose exchange with Democrat Joe Biden left the extremist group Proud Boys celebrating what some of its members saw as tacit approval.

He was responding to a question from debate moderator Chris Wallace, who asked the president if he would condemn white supremacist and militia groups that have shown up at some protests. Wallace specifically mentioned Kenosha, Wisconsin, where a white teenager was charged with killing two protesters during demonstrations over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man. Trump has repeatedly blamed “antifa,” which stands for the anti-fascist movement.

FBI Director Christopher Wray told a congressional panel last week that white supremacists and anti-government extremists have been responsible for most of the recent deadly attacks by extremist groups within the U.S.

Gonna tell us Director Wray is a Leftie, B?

Speaking of "lawfare" and political persecution. A national news commentator pointed out that usually a person that lies on his gun form is not prosecuted if their is only one gun involved, they have no record and it wasn't used for a crime. Just get a plea deal and a "Don't do that again". Also, has the NRA ever weighed in on this case?

No, but the NRA is trying to not go under following the alleged looting by Wayne LaPierre, his cronies and his lawyers. So they're kind of busy. And the last thing WLP was going to do is say anything against his buddy and the RWNM.
