Back to Standard Time, the time most aligned to our biological clocks.
Damn every lawmaker who won't do away with Daylight Savings Time.
Damn everyone who won't damn every lawmaker who won't do away with Daylight Savings Time.
Damn everyone who won't sit up all night in order to damn every lawmaker who won't do away with Daylight Savings Time.
And while you're at it, don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

I hate this..
I went to bed at 10 and got up at 6... my body thought it
was 7 and it was early daylight.
I really do care if its EST or DST as DST requires mental gymnastics when I'm trying figure the time in Australia or France. That and to me the clock change was meaningless as it always seemed to be dark when I had to get up and when I got home.
Eck!
I know we voted against the time change here in CA. and I believe we even won, but the issue totally disappeared after that. It was rumored to have been buried in McConnell's pile of dead-end bills, but no one seems to really know. What kind of National Plan has this become? Why should it be so hard to get rid of something so grievous? Who possibly makes money off of us all losing an hour of sleep? It can't be the coffee industry, can it?

Whaddya mean "our"? I usually go to sleep about 0500, & get up at 1300, thereby avoiding losing an hr., but it gets dark early enough as is, why make it worse? You ask me, we should go to permanent War Time (Double DST.)
In my province (BC) we had a meaningless "referendum" several years ago about dropping the time change, but going to permanent standard time was not one of the options!
Choices were only "keep it as it is" or "permanent DST".
At the time, any number of scientists wrote to the government and appeared on media pointing out the unhealthy effects of this, but all people can think about is oh boy, I'll have an extra hour of daylight forever.
I was watching a TV news program and some sleep researcher from the local University was "debating" this with some soccer mom from our little Bible Belt.
The researcher made the argument that we would forever be two hours our of sync with natural light, and Soccer Mom just kept repeating, "but this is the way we all voted" and that she needed another hour of day so young Trevor or whatever his name was could work on his kicking skills.
Anyway, at some point we are going to permanent DST, since we appear to be resolved not to listen to experts on anything anymore, as soon as the Western coastal states go to permanent DST, which they all decided to do some time ago.
Most people do not remember that the United States did go entirely to permanent DST, for about a year and a half in 1974-75.
At the time it was supposed to be for an economy drive to cut down on fuel use, but everyone hated it and the energy crisis passed so they went back to the time-switching.
