The once-daily Post-Gazette, having gone from a daily paper to a five-day paper, is now only going to publish a print edition for three days a week.
A daily paper slowly going all-digital, to my mind, is a glaring sign of long-term mismanagement by the owners. Typically, the papers have been treated as cash cows, laden down with debt, and then all of a sudden, it's not profitable.
All of this is eminently foreseeable by anyone who didn't go to business school. The basics are not that hard to understand.
An all-digital newspaper is just another goddamned website, with as much claim to importance as any other goddamned website.
