Whether it was Edward Teller in 1959 or other studies in the 1980s, those fuckers have known all along what they were doing and they continued despoiling the planet for fun and money.
If your granddad or great granddad worked for them, consider going and spitting on his grave. The line to piss on Dick Cheney's should be monumental as things get worse.

My dad's dad died in an oil well accident in Oklahoma when my dad was still a kid, so he was part of the problem way back in the forties, but at least my dad got his family the fuck out of oil country before I was born, moved to California and worked for the forest service for 30 years.
My cousins, though, moved to Houston and worked in the oil industry, so fuck them.

There's an elephant in the room. Coal puts out 6 times as much carbon per year than oil. China is responsible for 55% of that coal consumption. India 23%.
That is an excuse to do nothing.
