Trump is placing Washington DC police under federal control and deploying the national guard. He said he was taking “historic action” to combat crime and homelessness in the US capital by invoking a section of the DC Home Rule Act, which allows him to place the DC Metropolitan police department under direct federal control.
Sure crime is down in DC, at a thirty-year low, but that's got nothing to do with it. So besides sending in the National Guard (with more alacrity than he did on 1/6/21), he's sent federal agents out to walk the streets.
Here, you can see six, count 'em, six DEA agents patrolling the National Mall, because it takes that many Federal goons to corral random joggers.
They're not trying to stop drug trafficking or any of that, just out walking the streets at the command of the Demented Dictator.
Andy, why, you might ask? Easy. It's a distraction.

When does a person get loaded into a boxcar, boxvan,or boxtruck, and
suffers package violence enroute to the supposed place.. The caveat
is we hear about it... what hits the fan or does it even?
Eck!
