Why People Are Hoping More Insurance CEOs ….

... are shot.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans representing Connecticut, New York and Missouri have unilaterally declared it will no longer pay for anesthesia care if the surgery or procedure goes beyond an arbitrary time limit, regardless of how long the surgical procedure takes.

Pretty bold and tone-deaf move to announce this on the day that a competitor's CEO got whacked. Be a real shame if killing insurance C-suite guys got to be a thing.

And this:

And these, which I'm not putting into the meme posts:

From the illegitimate Gestapo Court to the killer-cop on the beat, the "law" lacks all credibility. Expect to see more of this ...

I've often wondered, how much of your insurance premium is held in reserve each year ? Or do the bonuses get paid out before any claims are.
Should there not be regulation to require holding in trust funds, to cover the risk.
Seems to me that just like the banking industry , the risk is all deferred to the customer.

Well if the fat guy can do shit on Park Ave, seems this is the natural
result.

Or maybe.. it may degrade to, screw the patient at your own risk.
...Or already has.

Interesting that you condone more murders.

Coming from the side of the political spectrum that chanted "hang Mike Pence" and which chortled over the hammer-beating of Paul Pelosi, that is incredibly rich.

Feel free to darken some other corner of the Internet, pal.

Didn't condone it, no idea where you got that. I only recognized
that one thing can be expected to lead to another.

So if denying insurance to someone leads to their early death,
if that is not evil, then we have a problem.

Posit this. Thompson is dead and the UHC stock goes up by 2.5%.
Was profit their motive?

I noticed Blu-Cross reversed their decision on anesthesia. Wonder what prompted that.

They want America's 1890s, but if they keep up like this, they're going to get France's 1790s.

Watch them, Patrick. They'll reinstate the plan to not pay for gas-passers' work once the furor dies down.

I saw somewhere else that the shooter is been nicknamed “the claims adjuster“.

I don’t know who they think is going to rat out the shooter for the reward, but the national zeitgeist seems to be “snitches get stitches“.

B, Interesting that you take umbrage at the commenting on the murder of a rich caucasian CEO in New York on this blog, yet you make a mockery of an African-American (no mention in the article of his wealth) shot on the south side of Chicago in your blog. Very telling.

Stitches they'll have to pay for out-of-pocket.
