Advice for Today

Go vote if you haven't already, of course. As Jimmy Kimmel said: "Polls is short for bipolar."

Then: Unplug from the news. If you're not at work, go for a walk if the weather's nice. Binge-watch something. Clean your house. Go watch a movie. Read a book. Wax your car.

Anything but watching or reading the news.

What will happen, will. Que sera, sera.

Then, tomorrow, turn on the news and deal with it.

Great advice. I did vote and it was a very huge turnout, for my state of Michigan already having early voting and mail in ballots that were pretty large, from what I have seen.
And while I do have my preferences on all of the issues on the ballot, not just the president, as you have said, what will be will be. We will still have the same problems tomorrow as we have today. But we also will still be the nation that people long to move to for the many blessings that we enjoy.
At some point, life has to become more than simply politics. Family and friends, the beauty found in nature, a hobby that makes you smile. I wish nothing but good things on you, Comrade, and everyone else who might read this. May we all be reminded of what really matters, even during a turbulent time in our history.

No matter what the results are today, let me make one thing clear....we do not need a civil war that would end up stopping the NFL season the one year the Detroit Lions actually might go all the way and win a Super Bowl.
