We Now Have About 700 Regulatory "Agencies" in This Country, Each Staffed With Somebody Who Doesn't Know a Fuck About Whatever They're Doing

The learned justices (which is a left-handed complement) in the batshit-crazy bloc of the Supreme Court keep invalidating Federal regulatory authority.

I expect them to soon invalidate any regulations based on the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906.

Whether or not any drug is safe or any food process is safe will depend on which of 700-odd Federal judges gets the case. Whether or not an airliner is proerly designed will be reviewed by a judge who knows less about flying than Ted Striker.

This is economic insanity. One thing about a regulatory regime is that everybody involved in an industry knows what the rules are. Now, thanks to the august anacephalics on the Supreme Court, any rule or regulation can be overturned on a whim by any Federal judge anywhere whi knows nothing about the industry or process involved. It's like suing over the results of a football game and then being told by one judge that it's OK to underinflate the footballs and another that being called for offsides is unfair.

The Supremes are engaged in a campaign of ideological insanity that will only weaken this country. One might wonder if they are taking gratuities from Putin and Xi.

And here we were worrying about Putin using nuclear weapons.

Legal nukes may be deadlier than tactical ones.

"We will bury you. It will take awhile but first we will have to buy enough Republicans." So said Nikita Krunchbarchev at sometime or another. Also "Enjoy the rat turds in your Rice Krispies and the arsenic in your meds. Also who needs the FAA,CDC and the NHTSA? The problems they handle will straighten themselves out after time."
