A research firm commissioned by former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign team to prove his electoral fraud claims instead failed to substantiate his theories, the Washington Post reported Saturday.
The Berkeley Research Group was commissioned to look into voting data from six states, according to the Post, and a source told the publication that the campaign team wanted about a dozen claims tested. People familiar with the matter told the publication that the findings did not match what the team had hoped for, and the findings were never released.The firm’s findings also refuted some of Trump’s voting conspiracies, including the identities of dead people used to vote and Dominion voting systems used to manipulate the outcome, the paper reported. The research was conducted in the last weeks of 2020 and before the January 6 US Capitol attack, according to the Post. Two sources told CNN that the House January 6 committee looking into the role Trump played in inciting the insurrection did not know about the firm’s work. Trump has continued to repeat his election lies as he focuses on his 2024 White House bid.

I am almost certain that there were election irregularities in the election of 2020. Just like every other election. With such a huge election, there are always going to be accidental mistakes made, not due to malfeasance, but simply due to the fact that events occur.
The thing that does bother me is that there will be people who will vote for Trump just because he is their man. Just like there are people who will vote for whom ever the Democrats run, just because he has a D behind his or her name.
I am not trying to pick on anyone, but it is apparent that John Fetterman has some serious issues that bear close watching, to insure that he remains able to carry out the duties of his office. It has not been long enough for people to give him a chance, which he deserves, as the duly elected candidate. But not only for the nation, but also for his health's sake, he needs to have people in his corner to insure that the stress doesn't cause more serious health issues.
Personally, I am pretty close to giving up on the whole voting thing. Neither party runs a candidate who follows their campaign promises once elected. In the case of Trump, he didn't have a political record to look at his first time, and his business record was pretty much hidden, other than bad things that were called out. The problem was, they were all brought out by his opponents, so it was hard to trust.
As for President Biden, I can only speak for my own thoughts about him and his record. And I did vote against him, rather than vote for Trump. If I had it to do again, I would likely abstain, as a form of protest, not as a form of laziness.
I do believe that had no classified documents been found in the possession of President Biden, Donald Trump would have been indicted for criminal behavior either already, or soon. With the Republicans in control of the House, on paper at least, things are going to be a mess for the next 2 years, and not in a good way. I normally like to see gridlock in Washington, because it means that the government is not making things worse. But there are a lot of things that require the government to be involved in fixing, and now it is likely that they will just get worse.
As always, I felt like I had to speak up, and did not intend to anger anyone. But you are welcome to disagree with me, and to tell me so, and why.
PP, I appreciate your position. There may very well have been irregularities in the 2020 election. As you indicate, in an election of this size mistakes can be made. But unlike some of the posters, I don’t think there were enough to change the actual outcome. The claim that 72 million voted for T**** so he must be president discredits the 80+ million that voted for the other guy. What makes one think that any mistakes that were made were only directed one way?
I try not to tell others how or what to think, and I don’t appreciate others telling me what to believe.

To date, the only demonstrated "irregularities" ~ fraud ~ in the 2020 election cycle have been on the repub side of it, the Trump side of it. Repubs are actually being convicted of voter fraud, oft on multiple counts, though none have yet to go to jail for it. Funny, that.
Is this a bad time to point out that we're down to seven years left to turn this crisis in the atmosphere around or our grandkids are going to suffocate in our farts. Right now it's the Retards wanting to kill off the olds, another ten years it'll be our kids, grandkids.

I believe that there was a clerk convicted of election irregularities, in Michigan, on the Democrat side. But that was not my point. My point was that a simple mistake can be made on either side, and it is not a conspiracy, it is just human error.
As for a set number of years until the point of no return due to any of a number of disasters, like global warming, or running out of food, or landfill space, or an ozone hole, or any number of other dire issues that we have been warned about in my limited memory before the end of human existence, I don't believe any of that. I do believe that we are meant to be good stewards of our planet, which means taking care of our resources, and using them in the most efficient way possible, and learning new methods of extracting all of the possible energy our of the things that we use for energy, while also seeking new sources of energy. And also looking for ways to make it more equitable to bring that energy to places where they don't have the same access to cheap and abundant energy, since that is usually what separates the wealthy nations from those who are considered third world.
Politics and bickering won't solve any of the problems that face our nation right now, and both sides are equally guilty of that. Unless and until that issue is removed, changes won't happen, no matter how long nor how much money we throw at things.
Personally, I think we’re too far behind the curve on climate change. I primarily blame the energy companies, who have engaged in the same despicable tactics as did the tobacco industry.
Actually, Comrade Misfit, in Michigan, the energy companies are ahead of schedule for renewable energy sources. The standard they had to meet was 12.5% by 2020, and by 2021 they were already at 15%. Mostly that was by wind, which I witnessed for myself in the eastern part of the state on a trip, this early part of the week.
