As a kid, I got to take the cog railway up to Pikes Peak in Colorado. I remember the seats being uncomfortable on the way up and perfect for the way down. Also, it was a warm day at the bottom and we didn't dress for the cold on top. Quite the feeling of being connected to the track like that.
