I doubt that WLP will go.
No matter what.
As for the rest of the board, I dunno.
I honestly don't think reform as you and I probably define it is possible.
B, I suspect that you're correct. I believe that WLP has been treating the organization as his iron rice bowl. He's not going to quit. What with the unwieldy size of the Board, they're not going to do anything.
I joined the Second Amendment Foundation, but they're primarily a litigation outfit (like the ACLU).
DA, if you have to be a jerk, go do it on your own blog.
Comrade, do you have any good links on how the NRA dug itself into this hole? I quit the NRA years ago, when they started the Heston bullshit and took a hard right, but to see just how screwed up it is, even in the abstract, is quite amazing. So Wayne has decided the NRA is his own little funding source, kinda like Donnie and the various events he’s steering to his properties, eh?
CP88, these postswould be a good place to start.
Thanks, Comrade, quite enlightening. Apparently things are considerably worst than I would have ever conceived within the NRA, the Vandals are clearly approaching the gates. I never figured the NRA would commit suicide, but from that reading, I’m not really sure the NRA can save itself from itself. As always, the honest and true believers in the original mission fight on, but it looks to be an uphill mission against the entrenched forces. Sometime in the future a true accounting of all the money the NRA splashed around will be made, only then will the extent of WLP’s actions be judged, but it sure looks nasty for now. I guess GOA is the obvious choice for the more militant, but the loss of a umbrella, more widely supported, group like the NRA is going to hurt a bit. Perhaps it’s time for another thesis nailing by the remaining adults in the NRA, and a new organization?
DA, you're headed for the first suspension I've ever levied.
GoA litigates, but the key is sadly, lobbying of legislators. The NRA is good for that.
La Pierre needs to go, definitely. Never liked him anyway.
