When I was just a sprout growing up in the eastern part of the SF Bay Area, there was a miniature steam train at the park up on the hill. It was big enough for maybe two dozen or so kids to ride in the open cars. It was a short run but on a summer day there could be quite a line. The smells and the noises left a lifetime love of Steam in all of us.
