Hegseth ordered the murder of survivors of a wrecked "drug boat" and those orders were carried out by SOC Adm. Bradley. It was a criminal and murderous act in violation of the law.
Eighty years ago tomorrow, three German submariners were shot by firing squad for machinegunning the survivors of the SS Peleus. It's highly unlikely that Hegseth or Bradley will be staring down the muzzles of a squad of riflemen. But the precedent exists, and the law, both international and American, are clear:
It was murder most foul.
